“It’s not the destination, but the journey that’s important”– unknown
Hi, I’m Ayana! Born and bred in NYC (and Maine). I love traveling, checking out new restaurants, spending time with family and friends. There is so much to see in this world and I am on a mission to get there!
Why blog?
I have traveled since I was 4 years old. My list is not extensive but I’m working on it. I know travel changes people. Seeing new things, meeting new people and tasting new foods can impact how you view the world. I have met far too many people who have told me they don’t own a passport or have never been out of their town. I hope my experiences inspire others especially women and people of color to go and see the world. Travel need not be to some foreign land but it could mean just exploring your surroundings. I can’t always afford to hop on a plane but I do manage to get out of the house and enjoy what NYC and its neighboring cities have to offer and you can too!
Follow me on my journey as I explore places near and far.
